Thanks for the opportunity

Well..... I had to miss my work-out last night my son Luke was sick. As a single mom, I have to put my children before myself ,no matter how VERY much I wanted to be Memphis' Biggest Loser. My family has been very supportive but, no one was available last night at the last minute to watch a sick and crying toddler who only wanted his Mommy to hold him. I want to thank Karson and Kennedy for giving me the opportunity to compete in this contest. I am just sorry it had to end this way. I have enjoyed working with the trainers and hopefully, I can continue on with the things I have learned on my own.
Best of Luck to all my team members!!!!! I hope the winner is from our team ...Go Food Fighters!!!!!!

OHHHH I am so not looking forward to 4 am tomorrow! I have been sleeping in until 7 everyday this weekend. It was very nice! I just got done working out tonight at my gym. I need a mp3 player so bad. Working out alone really sucks. Especially with stinky guys all around lifting weights. Yuck! I'm so glad our team doesn't smell bad when we work out. But getting past the mucky smell of guys working out... I managed to get in almost 2 hours of cardio. See ya'll tomorrow! I gotta get some sleep.

Weekend Work-Outs!

Hey guys! Well our "homework" for the weekend was to get at least 90 minutes of cardio Saturday and Sunday. So I got to the gym at my apartments at 6pm and pretty much did every piece of equipment (treadmill, bike, stair master etc.) for 20 minutes each. It is really boring working out with out my team.

Oh my legs are killing me! They feel so tight and stiff. lol The stair master is to thank for that. This morning we concentrated on cardio training. It's very exhausting! But I know that pain is fat leaving your body... so it's worth it. But anyways, today is CSI Niki's birthday!!! YAY Happy Birthday Niki!!!

Working Hard

I'm really starting to enjoy training twice a day! At first it seemed like a lot, but now I don't see how I ever started my day off without some cardio! Seriously! I have a lot of extra energy throughout the day, and I feel like I get the most out of my day. =) We are still training hard. Our meal plan changed a little but believe me not for the better! They took away the bread and added oatmeal. EWH!!! I hate oatmeal. I can manage to choke down some veggies, bland tasting fish but not oatmeal. Well I don't really have a choice about the oatmeal so I guess I'll have to manage.

I am so nervous! We have weigh-in's at 5:45am tomorrow morning. I feel confident about the weigh-in but not so much the elimination. I missed Monday morning's training session because I was sick with who knows what. I went out to eat the night before at a restaurant were I got a talapia fillet and some steamed veggies. For more then a week now I have been cooking my own meals without any salt, butter, etc. So I think maybe the way my food was prepared was the reason I got sick. I have no idea. It sucked. But, I hope I don't get eliminated tomorrow. I love my team and my trainers and the results I have seen. Well everyone cross you're fingers so I don't get eliminated tomorrow!!!

I could sleep for days!

I am so sleepy today. I can't wait to go to get some sleep tonight. My whole body is sore and in need of some much needed rest. But I know all this hard work will pay off. We are still training hard (like we need to be). And amazingly enough I am actually getting used to getting up early, sticking to our diet, and the work-outs are getting better for me. Watching what I eat is becoming a GREAT habit for me. The meal plan is definitely the easiest thing for me. We lost another team mate this week... but that's ok! Our training session are very difficult. I hope that everyone left on our team sticks it out as long as they can. We are a really great team! Oh geez... I gotta get ready for round #2. See ya'll!

The Biggest Loser

Hey everybody! Today was a great day at our weigh-in. My whole team did great! We lost a grand total of 47 pounds!!! That is pretty amazing for only training collectively 2 1/2 hours and being on a strict diet since Saturday. We start training twice a day tomorrow. I am going to be so sore! I was so sore last night after working out the gym (at my apartments) I had to take a cold bath. That also sucked... but it worked. I'm so proud of myself for sticking to the diet 100 % and working out in the evening on my own. So ...I lost 11 pounds since Saturday! I couldn't believe it. The hard work paid off. I'm the biggest loser so far!! I am looking forward to our 2 hour training session tonight. I can feel the pain already.

Feel the Burn!

OK so this morning was just as hard... if not harder then yesterday. I can feel every muscle in my legs when I walk. lol Those darn stairs will get cha! Speaking of the stairs... I was crawling and huffing and puffing to make it up to the 5th floor and as I turn around to come back down... OH LOOK a video camera. Did I mention I was crawling with my butt all up in the air? Yeah I am sure that will be a great video clip. But I made it through day #2... somehow. The results keep me going. I have a lot more energy during the day and my boys have to keep up with me now. I am so excited to get on that scale tomorrow! The way things are going I am actually looking forward to summer and wearing some cute short shorts!!!

5am Bright and Early!

This morning was our first work out session with our trainers and it was extreme to say the least! I really enjoyed everything EXCEPT the stairs. OMG ok let me explain the stairs situation... run up one flight of stairs (approx. 20 steps) and run back down, then run to the second flight and back down until you get to the 5th floor. WOW! I was literally exhausted. So at one point my stomach started to feel a little strange... =). No, I did not puke. But the feeling was similar. Needless to say, I will be taking the stairs every chance I get. We definitely pulled together as a team to get through it. The Gut Busters better put their game faces on because our team was amazing today. Every person on our team is a fighter... a FOOD FIGHTER! lol I will definitely be working out later tonight even though we don't have a training session. I weighed myself today and have already lost a few pounds. So everything is great... except the stairs =) Vote for me on the web site!!!

Tomorrow!

Well I must say I am a little nervous about tomorrow. On Saturday we finally met our trainers and went to the gym for the first time. After that meeting I felt a little better about what Monday is going to be like. The trainers seemed very knowledgeable and eager to "bring it on". So, in a way... that is kinda a reason to be nervous! Those dude are huge! The diet they gave us was reasonable and I have stuck to it 100%. WOOHOO 2 days! lol Now don't get me wrong I have almost messed up once or twice... let me explain!!! I have caught myself once or twice putting something that is not on our diet in my mouth... chew once or twice and once it starts to taste good I would like instantly remember my diet and spit it out. ha ha ha I never noticed how many times a day I randomly snacked on stuff. Well I am off to bed. Gotta get up at 4:30am tomorrow for my first day working out with our trainers. Wish me luck... and strenght!

Memphis' Biggest Loser

Hi everyone! My name is Rachel. I'm a 25 year old, single mom from Bartlett. I've never written a blog... so bare with me. I'm so excited about this contest for a lot of reasons. First of all, I want to lose weight and begin a healthier lifestyle for my boys. I'm going to win Memphis' Biggest Loser because I have all the motovation and support anyone could ask for. I want to get fit for myself and for my family... what better motovational drive could you ask for? But I also know that everyone I met on Monday wants to win just as bad as I do. I'm excited and ready to begin working out! Bring it on!!!
